Niche brand Park/All Mountain Skis

ChazripsconesHey dudes I am just wondering if anyone could give me a bit of advice on a good park / all mountain ski to get. I have been skiing around 15 years on pretty much all Aussie conditions as well as powder around the rockies and japan, but am looking to get into more park skiing which i havent done apart from a few shitty tricks off natural features. Folom, Moment and some other niche brands have some sick looking graphics that i am keen on but ive heard the durability isnt great. If anyone could tell me a thing or two about folsom or moment or just recommend a decent ski that is stiff enough to carve at high speed but also makes it easy to learn butters that would be awesome. Also I am 6 foot 3 and 80kg and price isnt really an issue.

We recently built a ski for David Wise, they've lasted him longer than any other ski has since he was 17. If there's one person you want to be on your skis to test durability, it's David. He destroys skis like his life depends on it.

With that said, our durability is at least on par, if not better, than a majority of brands out there.

ChazripsconesIn that case how do say the frankenski or vice handle in non park related aspects and how would the tahoe 96 go in the park

hot.pocketFrank and Vice will both handle well outside the park. I'd recommend either model if you plan on skiing in the park 65+% of the time. We have the more all-mountain version of both in the Deathwish and PB&J, respectively. The PB&J is our flagship park / all-mountain model, and we'll be releasing a more park oriented [read: softer / flexier] version, the PB&JIB, for the 18/19 season.

The Tahoe 96 is a directional ski, with a recommended mount point of -9 cm from true center. I'd steer clear of the Tahoe series for park riding.

We will be re-releasing the 17/18 Frankenski and the new PB&JIB, along with the rest of the lineup, in early August 2018. We do not produce the Vice anymore, but do have a few pairs at a large discount on http://www.skiburger.com.

hot.pocketOur base is listed in the spec descriptions of every ski, we use 4001 Durasurf Base. All our men's models are full diecut bases, while our women's line and some reserve skis still have a sublimated base. Our base thickness is 1.3 mm, not the thickest on the market but we rarely have issues with detrimental core shots or base issues.

We have the ability to use thicker base, but we feel the added weight isn't worth the added durability, mostly due to the fact that it's only an additional 0.4 mm and that we almost never see severe base damage through our personal skis, our friends skis or through any warranty claims we receive.

We leave a lot of the specs off the preview site because most stuff doesn't change between years for us and the site is more for showing off the new graphics and a glimpse at some new models that were usually still working on.
