Injury or nah, fixes?

Hey so I’ll try and keep this short. My first ski season ended and I’m experiencing a problem with pains in my shins. I rode park hard for 15-20 hours a week and progressed a lot, but everyday when I’d peel away my boots I’d be left with either bruises or pain behind the tongue of my boot, now come to spring and summer I got into running again and I’m experiencing the same pains at around 4km I did after skiing. Any ideas what it might be? Get new boots, skiing wrong, not positive, but if you got any ideas let me know.

shin bang....pretty much the same as shin splints.

Poor fitting boots are the driving factor, with technique being the second factor. Go to a bootfitter and have them fit you for a pair of boots. Get Booster straps. Then stop skiing in the backseat, which cranks your shins and causes the pain. Seems counter-intuitive but to get rid of shin pain you must drive your boots through the shin.

It's shin splints. Get smaller boots and outa the back seat. Ride a bike, and stop running.

Shin bang to shin splints. You are not injured or anything its just part of the game. Most of it is from not having enough muscle, some of it is from poor form. Running with poor form will literally kill your knees too

Ski easier stuff with good technique. Then take that to the harder stuff. Make sure your boots fit well. I skied my dad's old boots last year and they were 349 underfoot. My boots this year are 317 underfoot. I improved my technique and now I only get shinbang on landing backseat

this this this. also needless to say, landing flat exacerbates it too. so find that sweet sweet tranny at all times

Shin bang when skiing. Fixable by everything listed above. Also booster straps may help.

Shin splints when running. Totally different mechanism, but also fixable. Google it. Rest and do something different than running if it really bothers you. I would always get shin splints at the beginning or football or lacrosse seasons when conditioning super hard. It eventually goes away.
