Looking for some advice

Hey friends, I've been a lurker on NS for a while but made an account to ask for some advice on my gear.

I bought all my gear around 6 years ago and I'm looking for some advice on where my priorities should be to upgrade. I'm a student so I can't afford to start from scratch, so maybe if I could just get some advice on what I really need to upgrade and what can maybe wait until next year?

I'm pretty new to park skiing but have skied alpine for years and I'm extremely confident outside the park. This year was the first I really started putting any effort into boxes, rails, and small jumps. I can box slide pretty consistently but suck at actual rails and haven't been able to land a 360 yet but I've been close a bunch of times haha. This is just to give an idea of what level I'm at in the park to help with recommendations.

I currently ride 173cm Coreupt Dirty Bastard skis with Head Mojo 12 bindings. I really like them but have nothing else to compare them to as they're the only park ski I've ever ridden. My boots are Salomon X-Wave 80s and while I didn't have them fitted (I live in a small town with no good gear shops around), I've done my research online and they seem to fit how everyone says they should.

So what should my priority be to replace? Skis, boots, bindings, or maybe these are fine for a beginner park rider? I'm 6'0" 160lbs if that helps any. I was 145lbs when I originally got the skis 6 years ago but was the same height then.

I'd for sure go to a boot fitter first if you're looking to upgrade something. That will be a game changer if your current boots don't fit well. Then I'd think about skis, then bindings.

Thanks for the suggestion! I live in a small town area and the nearest I could find an actual ski shop is 4 hours away. How important is seeing an actual fitter over the probably-not-knowledgeable person working at Sportchek? I really don't have the option of a trained fitter available to me sadly due to my location.

Also, I've heard boots are super important - some people say moreso than the skis themselves. Do you think that's true? I could drop a few hundred dollars on some new boots but that would leave me flat broke for a while, definitely putting new skis/bindings further out of reach.

I bought the second pair of boots I have ever owned this year. Complete game changer. Went to a fitter and I finally have something comfortable that translates to the ski perfectly, and my toes don’t bleed.

If that's your only option, I think you should make the drive like this other dude said if you're serious about upgrading. I think we'd all be floored if you nailed it ordering online. Other option would be plan to get new boots next time you're in a legit ski town since there should be a good boot fitter there.

If you only have a couple of hundred to sell I would recommend getting some custom footbeds. They will improve hugely even a good fitting boot. You won't get a good boot for a couple of hundred so start with the footbeds then you can move them to the new boots when you can afford them. Skis and bindings are not hugely import at so long as they work for you size wise and din wise.
