i've had only one good pair of full tilts were decedent 4's but the buckle broke and there was no replacement buckle for it. my second and current pair is tom wallisch pros i hate because there is a hole in my liner and they leak (they are also one size too big).
Walk into a shop and tell them you need boots. Only someone who is looking at your foot, asking you the questions and has in depth knowledge of what every boot has to offer can make a correct recommendation on what boot to buy.
I had full tilt classics like 6 years ago and they felt like sneakers taped to skis as far as control, and they were professionally fit and had work done to the shells. I've had 3 pairs of dalbellos since (krypton crosses, il moros, and lupo ti's) and have never looked back. Like said above, get what fits but boots of both companies fit my feet and I can comfortably say that I would not ever consider going back to full tilt. Aren't they both owned by the same parent company now?
There is no such thing as a perfect ski boot for your foot. You need to go see a fitter to see what your typical ski objectives are, how much you ski, etc.
The more time you spend on snow the less time you need to spend at the fitters. Also full tilts take LOTS of maintenance to keep in good shape if you ski in them lots. The cool thing is that if boot lower is still in one piece you can basically replace the rest of the boot. Everything from the spoiler to the buckles/cable are replaceable. That’s pretty awesome.
