Am I a decent skiier if I...

So I've only went skiing three times in my life and I am now able to ski blue and green mountains. In total I've only skied about 9 days total and gotten like four lessons. Is this decent for me? I want to try to go down a black mountain but I feel like I'm not ready for it yet.

For 9 days ya, if you want to do a black just grab your balls and go for it. Once you do your first one you wont be scared any more.

No. As a new-entry into the gay community, you should not give blacks a try. Start with asians, then move on to whites. Eventually one day your ass may be able to handle blacks.

i've only done the ski for 8 days and has three lessons in me like, and I can ski blacks, so I'm better.

Since you're new to skiing, know that the ratings system is only specific to each resort. A black at one may be easier than blues or even greens at another. If you're contemplating doing a black at the same mountain where you were comfortable skiing blues, then I say go for it. For example, the first place I ever skied was Peek N Peak in NY. I skied every trail green through black the first day because they're simply not hard.

Imo a huge part of skiing is pushing yourself out of that comfort zone (within limits obviously) and just sending it. Just do it man.

You could easily bomb a black diamond. My noob 11 year old brother can but he can’t carve and snowplows a ton still. I’d rather he, you too, work on carving and being competent technically than be able to do steep runs with no form.

I sometimes bomb a few black diamonds myself but I ride center mounted flexible rocker skis and can’t carve too well with them though so I’m guilty myself.

IMO Anyone can go down a mountain with basic ideas of how skis work. Going down something doesn't measure your skiing skill, its more technical, how you get down.
