Btw, it's impossible to drink beer in NY(C). You pay like 12 dollars in a shop for a 6-pack. In my own country you would get 24 beers for that (and generally speaking I think German, Dutch and Belgium beers are 100% better)

You should come to Utah, getting good beer here is a breeze and it's super cheap
I just finished off another 6er of those 21st amendments and bought a 6er of seirra nevadas at 711 before the cut off. Hoping I can make it to 11 when the bar opens.
Was too lazy to drive to safeway and stock up. Yesterday was a good looking day for riding park at least, today not bad, but I fucked up my neck and back so drinking at home instead.
DingoSeanJust got a crowler from denver beer co. as a tip. My fridge is so full of beer tips right now. I need to have a party do drink them all.
Do you still live in tahoe or are you in SF or something. I'll help drink a couple. I wouldn't want you to not have enough space for beer.
Anytime I don't live with other people or am rocking another fridge it's literally beer just about or sometimes actually spilling out. Only way to live.

I have moved back to the USA and am now based in Golden, CO. I got pretty over the Tahoe scene, what with the parking lots at ski ares filling by 9, and shitty rent prices. Now I live in a slammin pad and I'm about as far time-wise from skiing at Abasin as Squaw is from Truckee (via traffic) on a powday

Fair enough. I actually dig it here more than CO. Well I had access to more easier generally in CO but I dig it here. The housing shit show is comparable to places I lived in CO.
Got any recs for beers to check out or places to buy? I'm always open to wasting money on beer I don't need.

I pay half as much for twice as much right now, and don't have to deal with tahoe traffic.
Mr.Panda
Being from the PNW I will be so happy when the IPA craze dies and that shit tier soap tasting shit isn't 80% of my local breweries menu.
Yeah I agree with you as well. IPA is a country wide epidemic. I hate them with a passion and am more of a stout, ale, and Belgian beer kind of drinker. I like my stouts dark, like oil basically. I will say, if you can snag a bottle of Dogfish Head 120min IPA, you will not be saying that. It has to be the 120min (the 90 and 60 are just OK). Use a snifter or something similar for a glass. It's the best IPA and one of the best beers I've ever drunk. 15-20%ABV and the alcohol bite and bitters from the hops are basically nonexistent.

I fucking love dogfishhead
First time I had them I was drinking them with my girlfriends father....dodnt realize how strong they were and had 3....was a little fucked up that's for sure. He laughed at me

Uintas 801 pilsner and the lime pilsner they have during the summer are both delicious drinks. cheap and tasty.
Also the red rock hefeweizen is on top in limited spots in PC but really fucking good too. i try to get a growler of it for when we have family visiting from out of town. Park City Brewery kills it. Love the Uptrack IPAs
tyler1719People who want double the alcohol content for too cheap
Def not just hood but a terrible choice. I can't remember if the 40s are any better, but the cans are fucking horrible. My boss used to by them for park crew 08-11. Was always saying you only had to drink half as many. I was always saying I would rather drink 3 or 4 of anything else than those. It was worse than a skunked, 10 year old beast ice you pulled from the trunk of a car, sitting in 100 degree heat.

Bleh
might as well just drink natty daddys at that point
Really partial to Melvin's Heyzeus, probably my go-to summer beer. Roadhouse's Wilson is pretty great, as is their Family Vacation (I think that's what it's called). Also really dig Melvin's Drunken Master.
But honestly, put Citra and/or Mosaic in something and give it to me fresh and I probably won't complain.
Anyone know where to buy regular white label Colt 45 in the Willamette Valley? Haven't been able to find that stuff in years. Won't be long until my 40th ski day for this season and I like to cap it off with a 40. Had to settle for a Micky's last season. Next day out will be day 32 so I'll probably get just get a High Life unless I get around to picking up one of those fancy new 32oz crowlers. Place in my town does 3 crowlers for $15 on Wed and $5 all month for their featured brewery so pretty tempting.

What part of the valley are you living in? Just curious. I'm in Salem. Idk where to get that stuff
I bought a bunch of wine the other day. Sue me. Always was a fan of red wine but Africa turned me on hardcore Cheap and fucking brilliant. There were some good breweries there but not that easy to find good beer outside of that. Once in a while I load up with a bunch of wine to mix it up.(I bought some beers too though)
Rite aid had a bunch of stuff on sale for 2+ under what it costs. Rite aid is the homie.

+1 for Rite Aide. Usually the best prices in my town for 12 packs of micro brews. Pretty ok for wine too but I don't drink that much wine and I have a little stockpile at home. Grocery outlet has some pretty good deals on the beer and wines too. Lately I've been picking up a lot of singles that my local grocery has been trying to close out at 75 cents for a 12 oz or 2 bucks for a 22. So many that I haven't really bought other micros for a couple months. Picked up a few last night, Obsidian Stout, 3 different warsteiners, something from McMinnville called haystack ale or somthing like that and a $3 sixer of moosehead radler.

For sure. They have some good booze prices. They've been better about stocking craft beer the last few years.
Got a couple 6ers that are 9.99 at the cheapest for 7.50 or 7.99. A 12 pack for 13.50. Some bottles of wine each for 2 or 3 off.
I was stoked. Thank you rite aid for fueling my addiction to alcohol. Cheers!
_Jeffrey_Crazy. Capital Market and Life Source are a good spot for beer here in Salem
Tru but Capital Market has the worst customer service ever and they keep most of the beer warm and for way to long. They just tell you 'no refund' if you bring back something that's gone bad. Had too many bad beers from there.
Plaid actually has a pretty good selection of micros and their sale prices are good. Like to go there for micro cans of Hoodoo Voodoo, Gilgamesh etc.

Yeah I've had a bad beer there before. Plaid Pantry has gotten so much better
There is a new-ish (in that they recently moved to a larger space) brewery called Treehouse in Charlton, MA. The beers are phenomenal and the scenery is spectacular.
Kooky_LukeyI wish I still lived in Montana so I could drink Salmon Fly. Anytime I'm back though it's the first thing I get.
For any non-Montanans: Madison River Brewing Salmon Fly Honey Rye is the beer.
Yo so I literally just found out like 2 days ago that my neighbor started Madison river brewing and the scene from the hopper logo is the river about 5 miles from my house and the salmon fly logo is the bridge about half a mile from my driveway. I love living in Ennis so much.
