GaperBoiI’m thinking of skiing tomorrow but I currently have a cast on my arm because of a fractured wrist, should I ski tmrw? Would there be any concerns about skiing in a cast?
evanballLiterally broke my wrist skiing yesterday wondering the same thing
Profahoben_212How long ago did you break it? I broke my wrist a few years ago....waited about two weeks for the bone to set a bit before I started skiing again. After that make super extra sure you don't put your hands out or fall on it. Casts are really Burly, but you will have some movement in there and it can hurt like a bitch.
Oven mitt for glove and duct tape some poles on.
tomeastonI wouldn't risk it, if you take other fall you might put it out of line and that's a faff to have fixed, trust me. Give it a few weeks and let it fuse I'd say.
harrygeorgaklisIf you confidant in your shredding then just take it easy and get some carves in its what I did when I broke my wrist, your call In then endyeah ill just be careful as fuck
GaperBoiI’m not going to be skiing park, I’m just gonna be doing some mellow groomers, my wrist is in a fibreglass cast and from what I hear, they are pretty bombproof.Tbh thinking about it, the worst that can happen is you rattle it around again, bones heal so you either do something awesome, or extend your heal time a bit if it does go wrong, either way you're not going to lose an arm so... Go for it.
