CalCarsonpretty wack honestly
Pretty standard policy across the board. Some of the places that have a huge park scene don't give a fuck or notice.
Also even free events will sometimes have somebody handing out tickets to make sure everyone has a valid lift ticket to help on the liability side.
I get that it sucks, but at least they have a park. $40 all day for a lift ticket and some rails isn't that bad.
I'd rather have them have it at the base and kick people out for hiking than put it at the top of some obscure lift that takes forever to get to, jst to make sure people have valid tickets.
Some places have people checking, some places don't. But it's generally not a free hike park policy most places. Also depends on how cool you are. Sometimes if a guy checks for your ticket, you aren't a dick, and you 're actually hitting features and being respectful they'll let you slide. That's on them though. If they don't it is what it is. Get a season pass somewhere
