Candide 3.0 as a park ski?? Dilemma
Hey there NS,
Just picked up a pair of Candide 3.0's the other day I am super stoked about them. They are 186 mounted true center with some p14's. I'm having sort of a dilemma right now. I can't decide whether or not these skis are going to be okay for me in the park this season. My main concern is just the waist width. My buddy got them for park only, you'll be fine
I have the 191s and use them as a pow/all mountain ski. I have hit rails on them and it was okay, though I also have touring bindings
What a versatile ski. I just saw a pair posted in the jackson hole classifieds mounted w beast 14s and skins included for $600
My girlfriend's park skis are 108 underfoot
I ski some 106 underfoot and they work just fine
Size is definitely not as issue, but they don't have the thick 2.5mm edges of the CT 1.0 though.
Your greatest concern should be the balsa cores. They are much more likely to snap than the poplar / beech cores in the 1 and 2's.
