BWalmerNo one is saying that this is the first one done...just that it was incredibly sick and very well executed. Berman’s is definitely considered a cork 1 by what we had seen before this one, but AHalls is VERY different from that one. Berman (and others who have done cork 1s in the past) “basically” (in quotes cause it’s far from basic) leans back off the jump and lands switch. AHall however is setting into a cork 3 and completely stopping his rotation - he gets to the point of face/belly down (something many people agree is essential to being considered a corked trick if it’s a 3,5,7, ect. - people just give the cork 1 a pass cause it’s so hard to get there with it), which to my knowledge hasn’t been done with a cork 1 before.
totally agree, A Hall's was super different
LivingDaLifeLazy boy cork 1 doesn't really count, does it? Even I can do that trick...not off a 60 footer, but it's much easier to cork when setting with a hand drag.
I think it counts as a lazy boy cork 1, he looks pretty damn corked to me though its not like he just leaned back
trick names are dumb in the end, whatever you call what A Hall did it was very dope
