110 Fischer boots too stiff for park?
My boots are a 110 flex fischer boot, they have a little lever on the back that supposedly softens them to 100. I'm planning on picking up a pair of park skis this year. Will my boots be too stiff?
shit no. i run RX130's in the park every day and i hate riding anything softer.
None of us have ever seen you ski. We don't know. Trial and error my friend
Nah playa. Solid type II skiers with be fine in a 110 flex
Nah I use my rc4 110s with a booster strap and wish they were 130s a lot of the time.
Really once you get good and go stiff you never want to go back. You get awesome control. Coming from my old racing days I still use a Head 140 flex race boot. On super cold days I use a blow dryer to get them off but dang I love how much response I get.
Dude, get Full Tilts... duh
It all depends on your weight, height and how you ski. The bigger and stronger you are, and the harder you ski, the more quickly you'll flex out your boots. Since you say you're planning on picking up park skis this year, I'll assume that you're not a hard-charging park rider; in which case 110 will be a nice, forgiving flex for learning park riding. If you weigh over about 160 pounds, however, they might be a bit too soft.
As you start riding park, pay attention to what your boots are doing as you land jumps and rails. When you get the feeling that your boots are totally flexing out on you - flexing to their extreme limit, so you feel like there's no stability - that's when you know it's time to up your stiffness.
Not at all. I work for a Fischer dealer and we sold the most Fischer boots of any store in the us last year. Fishers run SOFT and a 110 flex isn't considered a super stiff flex in the first place. The thing is all boots flex different. I have word head vector 85 and salomon quest 120 and the heads were way stiffer so the numbers are all relative to the brand. Anyways a 110 fisher is co spidered a very soft 110 you should be fine in the park
Ride Nordica Patron Pro's (Arguably one of the stiffest free ride boots in the past few years) and wont' touch anything less than a 130 flex
