roharaHey man, for going to France it's gonna depend a little on what time of year you go and what kinda stuff you're looking for!
The last couple of years snow can be pretty unpredictable so you'd wanna go between mid January to mid march to get the best snow. If you want to guarantee good snow conditions then places like Val Thorens or Tignes are good because of the high altitude. Personally I'm a really big fan of a resort called Les Arcs, it's got loads of runs as well as plenty of trees and off piste and a great park, little bit of everything. Good bars and stuff too.
As for clothing you can definitely rent from shops like Intersport or skiset which you'll find in pretty much every French resort but I'm not sure what the costs would be like.
Hope that was helpful man, enjoy your trip!
Camerontaylor158Exactly what this guys saying, if you've got the money, Val D'Isere and Tignes are a solid shout for best conditions but I will always suggest les arcs because it's got a bit of everything. Been skiing there for 7 years and it's got everything you need on and off the mountain if you stay in Bourg St-Maurice.
