Straight up, If I were to compare rappers and skiers to how they represent their culture this is how I'd do it.

Jon Brogan: Snoop Dogg
Henrik Harlaut: Method Man
Phil Casabon: Redman
Tom Wallisch: Eminem
Adam Delorme: MF Doom
Nikklas Erikson: 50 Cent
Jake Carney: J Cole
Keegan Kilbride: Kendrick Lamar
Quin Wolferman: A$AP Rocky
Clayton Villa & Sean Jordan: Run the Jewels

Me_N_ChrisI totally agree in the aspect I don't think ODB in rap was as impactful as DOLLO is in skiing currently, but I do think they're style is super fucking raw especially young DOLLO. So I say as a compromise, young DOLLO = ODB. Current DOLLO is a little different and more refined.


So a Swedish child was more comparable to Old Dirty Bastard. That's ridiculous.

I'm not saying Dollo is a poor black child from New York.

I'm comparing both of them to their sport they participate in.

Because think about where the rap game was when ODB entered it. Versus think about where the ski game was at when Dollo entered it. They both stylistically had similar approaches to their respected sport/ craft. In fact I think it has been said that Wu Tang directly inspired Dollo and his skiing. I believe I've heard him say that multiple times in interviews.

Inspiration is not grounds for direct comparison.

I see where you are coming from.

But, it just doesn't cut it.

I mean if you think J Cole is trash, then why would Kendrick (The current undisputed GOAT of rap currently) consider him a respected colleague? Real recognizes real.

Young thug and Denzel Curry man? For JC and Henrik? I'm gunna have to disagree heavily there man. They have their own niche in hip hop, but aren't as impactful to their community as a whole as Henny and JC are to our community.

Good to know for next time. As for now, I did wrap this one up last week - settled.

For the future, I'll take your advice by simply removing the thread from my page, rather than jumping the gun as I did here.
