Hello all!
Before I get into my core question I just want to highlight some points:
-The trip will be my girlfriend and I
-We are located in South Florida
-We are planning this trip from Mid-December 2017 to Mid-January 2018 (no work around for this)
-We are both athletic but still beginner-level skiers (she last skied in Park City 9 years ago but picked it up naturally and I last skied for 4 days in Snowmass last year and was comfortably skiing blue runs by the end of my trip)
-We will be renting our ski equipment
-We will not have a car for the entire duration of the trip but are down with taking public transportation that is free/affordable if need be
-We would preferably like to make our accommodations in one location so that we can take advantage of the monthly discounts given on rental sites like Airbnb or VRBO
-We plan to ski most of the days hopefully so we would prefer somewhere with affordable season passes
-Might take a few lessons so that we can pick everything up faster
-Though a nice town would be nice it is not necessary as we plan to spend the afternoons in the room and will cook most of our meals
-Hope to keep a budget of $5000 or under
Given these constraints, what would be the most adventurous and fun place to ski in the US/Canada for a month without getting bored?
