its awesome. you set it up with a maximum amount of money you would pay for the thing you are bidding on. The program then automatically makes the smallest bid possible over the previous bid in like the last 10 seconds or something like that.

basically, say you bid 100$ on an item and the starting bid is 50$. you put down 100 but the bid is still 50. if anyone bids higher, say 65, the current price is 65, but it's still yours.

is there any way for ebay to track this kind of thing? i have a feeling they wouldn't really approve, but it seems like it would be a pretty easy glitch to figure out

ok this is how it works: lets say the item costs 50 dollars. if you were using automatic bidding and have a max bid of 100$ it would look like this:
your bid 55$
others bid 60$
you bid again 65$
other bids again 70$
...
you bid again 95$
other bids yet again 100$ maybe higher, and now you just lost the item, or got it for a really high price.

with the sniping program it looks like this:
you bid 50$
other bids 55$
last 10 seconds of auction your snipeing program bids 60$, you just won and saved yourself 40$

All it does is place your max bid in the last 2 seconds or even last second. Works well unless the price suddenly goes up higher than you thought, but you were still willing to pay that price... OOPS.

^yeah but you have to dedicate your time to one item and make sure that you refresh fast enough. with the sniper you dont need any of that.
