Traveling to switzerland

hey nsg, so i was planning a trip to zermatt this september from the 11th to the 24th because why not? And Ive never done a trip to that country, nor ever been outside of the country on my own. So my question to you guys is whats something I need to know when traveling to zermatt? Ive looked up prices for hostels and lift tickets to ski the matterhorn but I just wanna be as prepared as possible so any bits of advice you guys have would be welcomed. thanks

In general, Switzerland is mad expensive, especially this area. Be prepared to spend a lot of money on basic stuff.

But the Swiss Alps are also my favorite. Just something about them makes them more betterer than the Austrian Alps. Zermatt's also a pretty rad area. Lots of hiking and mountain biking if you are into that.

If you need boot-work or other skiing related services, go to Julen Sport and ask for Lee. Dude knows his shit.

I would ski and take a few laps on a bike. That'd be a sweet way to do Zermatt. There is a Doner/Fries kind of joint on the main strip that is a good option for when you don't want to spend $20 a meal.
