I THINK THAT THE 1 FOOTER WAS A DISGRACE TO FREESKIING AND A BIG STEP FOR AGGRESSIVE INLINE. THE 1 FOOTED GRIND WAS SO GAY THAT IT SHOULDV LOWERED HIS AVERAGE.

THE ONLY DECIDING FACTOR FOR TANNER AND GAGNIER WAS THAT STUPID 1 FOOTER AND THE 1 FOOTER WON.

THIS SHIT WAS ON TV AND WAS A SERIOUS STEP BACK FOR OUR KIND OF SKIING

I used the capitals to get your attention (fight fire with fire). If you want to call what Tanner did a 'lipslide,' then out of consistency, you've got to call what Gagnier's did a 5-0, which makes it equally skateboard and rollerblade derived.
Your wrong about progression coming from copying snowboarders. We'd be making the same mistake that snowboarders made by insisting on copying skateboarders. Snowboarding stunted its growth by insisting that all tricks be reducible to skateboard tricks. Skiing will stunt its growth by insisting that no tricks be reducible to rollerblade tricks. Do you really want to give up the zero spin?
You should come to terms with your 'roller' past. Do you want to live the rest of your life as a pathetic self-loather?

ok first of all ID like to say I thought tanners run was better to get that out of the way. Next, backslides are NOT easy. Maybe on a box or a wide rail. But if you think that a backslide down a 30 set circle handrail stomped clean and smooth would not be sick, then I dont know what to say. Respect progression or skiing will go nowhere. Variety is what we want.

ok EVERYONE, THINK FOR A SECOND, just to start with, all of you who are saying that a Lipslide is harder than a Backslide, YOU'RE WRONG and you've never tried to do a backslide on a streetstyle rail, exspecially one that steep, and anyway tHall is left foot forward on rails, so that wasn't unaturall.

saying its gay or its a rollerblade move is not a valid reason.

I think they are just trying new and challenging stuff. If all you care about is how it looks, then the sport isn't gonna last long. If it turns out to be not not that great of a trick it will die out. And calm down man, Its the internet, not that big of a deal. And i dont think that the judges were up in their little booths saying well i liked gagniers one footer better then tanners 450 to 270 so we'll give the gold to gangnier. Im sure there were other things they looked at
