Skiing has always been an outlet for me to escape the anxiety of life. On the mountain, reality is somewhat distant. The Skiing life is what I dream about year round. Over the years I have become obsessed with filming. I would love to work for a ski company's media department and make edits, I am not doing as many tricks any more because I am filming which takes up a lot of time. There are not a lot of people who film at my home mountain so sometimes it feels awkward when people are like "Why don't you do tricks?" Well my answer simply is "I want the non skiing world to see what skiing is about, I want to show everyone that there is fun activities to do in the winter!"
Why is Freestyle skiing so freaking cool?!? Well obviously it is lit Fam! Really, why I love it is because we aren't forced to learn how to 360 by the time we are 6. We can progress at are own pace which takes a lot of stress off of many inexperience freestyle skiers. Pro athletes are very supportive too. They are willing to help give pointers and train new skiers who are eager to learn tricks.
Skiing to me as relaxing and I love it! I love that most skiers are supportive and accepting of begin in skiers who aspire to be a park skier. I love the fun times we can have and how it is easy to start doing tricks again after life gets rough or you have a minor surgery. I am thankful for skiing, Skiing is awesome and I don't know what I would do without it.
Stay lit and ski on!
