Once a kid did this at my school. He came to 1st period and said his dad just died an hour ago in his house. he was selling it pretty well, sitting in the corner all sad, not talking and almost crying. Two days or so later he confessed to the lie.

I had a similar scenario, my grandfather had a heart attack which he just recovered from in the hospital so we went in to see him and he had another and died right in front of us. It was freaky, my condolences sorry about your loss mate!
