How much alcohol do you drink.

I have always wondered how much do Americans drinks at parties and going out to clubs
Like do you have a box the go out to town and keep drinking then when it closes come back and carry on drinking.
Or at a house party do you get a 24 box and a bottle of something and drink that all night.
Its just always interested me from seeing all the movies and wondered how real it was.

It depends really. I find that I drink much less when I'm having beer -- maybe a bottle at most. But if I'm drinking vodka cocktails, then I could have maybe 4-5 glasses.

Alright I'm calling it. We are fucked down here in middle earth and drink way to much. Starting off around age 15-17 having the odd party every other month. Then at age 18-21 drinking every weekend and once a week depending on the parties (being a local in a ski town doesn't help with that). Then from 22+ start to simmer down a bit and ease off a bit.
By drinking I mean drinking a 15+ box of beer then going to pubs for jager bombs and bourbons or having your box and going to a party with a goon etc
Side note: nothing beats waking up the next morning having a beer and going fuck it lets have another party because you don't won't to clean up.

In college it was all about the pregame. We never kept count, but 4-6 of us would kill a few racks of keystone of some other bullshit at the tailgate. Then it would be a couple expensive beers at the football game. Then we'd come back for beer pong and usually spiral into shots or something else.


Now, at the ripe age of 29 I rarely do that anymore. Usually it's hanging out with the buddies on the weekend and we'll have 1-6 beers. It's really hampered by the fact that now we all live in different areas so someone always has to drive. Going to get beers and pizza or something is way more what we do because we have disposable income.

But two weeks ago I had the fortune of going to a wedding with an open top shelf bar that was at the hotel I was staying at.

I lost track after 16 old fashioneds. I have pictures of me holding a shot glass, so those happened. I'm told I tried to order a pina colada. That hangover lasted three days. So yeah, those times are few and far between when you get older.

Us Kiwis go fuckin hard on the booze it's just our culture (which isn't necessarily a good thing). Just get the cheap shit Double Browns, Woodstock's vodka, goon bags and get as trashed as possible for as little as possible. Classic Kiwi summer day is spent in the backyard getting wasted with your mates.

um yeahhhh I guess so. since im in germany its not the same as being in the states because they have to import everything. beer is cheap tho, german beer even cheaper! if you buy a car on base thru a dealership its def cheaper than being a civilian, but im not about to buy a new car here since i'll be all over the place starting in the spring. plus im a truck guy and they don't even have trucks here to be honest, they dont even fit on the roads or fit in parking garages. instead i'll just rent a car for long periods and ski bum it up every weekend im here until 2019

SconnieSomebody finally said it. Hangovers and getting drunk seem so miserable to me. I only have a beer or two in a day at most. I'm still in my teens and im skinny so it wouldnt take much more to get fucked up. I'm also cheap as hell... I'm not going to spend my own money on the stuff.

For the first couple years living in Austria, my apartment was directly across the street from a bar and there were 5 other bars within a 5 minute walk. I was going out at least 3-4 nights a week, having 2-3 drinks on weekdays and having 5-10 drinks on weekend-days. Jager is my go-to liquor and the local Irish pub invested in a Jagermachine for me, which made things way better, or worse depending. I probably would have gone out more but smoking is still allowed in Austrian bars and it really gets to me after a while.

Now I mostly drink at home with the girlfriend, couple glasses of wine with dinner, and go out probably once a month. Old man problems.

I feel you, man.. Used to go out 3 or 4 times a week, now it's maybe a beer before dinner and a glass of wine, or sipping on some single malt once in a while.

Let's just say that after a certain age the hangovers aren't worth it anymore..

i really dont get how ppl go to a bar and have like 1 or 2 drinks and casually drink them

like when im hitting the bar, im on drink number 3 or 4 while ppl around me are still sipping on their first beer

If I decide to drink all day I'll grab 2 tall boys or a 6 pack and just sip on those for a few hours at a time. I used to drink a whole 12 pack every day but I had to stop that cuz I'm not trying to die.

Only drink when I am skiing and maybe couple other times a year. When you get older you start thinking before you do stuff and that gets in the way of skiing. Weed is everyday.

I just turned 21 like a week ago and I know my dumbass is gonna get loaded one night after skiing and run up a retarded tab lol, haven't really exercised my drinking privelages yet, I did get a little case of some local stuff a few days ago, I have like 4 days off this week so really nothing better to do besides go out for some wicked hikes, come home, and watch some hockey/drink some tasty beverages.

In highschool it was easily in moderation, but ever since college started I feel like its going over the top. How the past 2 months each week has been school/ homework monday- thursday and then friday- sunday is a blur. Usually the homies buy a handle of llager and a couple of beers and by the end of the night I am a mess. Ill wake up the next morning questioning how the hell I got home. Shits rough

drinking likker is cheaper at home. My household of me my wife and my cat consume about 30 5ths of vodka a month to the tune of 3 hundo a month but for that much swilling def the economy plan. The cat doesn't ever pitch in but he doesn't drink too much so it's cool.

Yeah I turned 21 in April and this summer was rough on my wallet lol.... Especially during the summer shit gets wild in downtown Bozeman. Have definitely learned to moderate now and it's really helpful to learn where the cheapest drinks are at and the local happy hour deals etc to save some $$
