How much alcohol do you drink.

I have always wondered how much do Americans drinks at parties and going out to clubs
Like do you have a box the go out to town and keep drinking then when it closes come back and carry on drinking.
Or at a house party do you get a 24 box and a bottle of something and drink that all night.
Its just always interested me from seeing all the movies and wondered how real it was.

It just the in nz we get told that we have a real bad binge drinking culture for the ages 16-24.
I have always thought its all shit and Americans probably dink way more. So what would on average the standard drinks you drink in a night?
Also how long do yous drink for?
Do you like start drinking a 6 and go to like 4 or you go to its light out?

When i was in college on weekends we generally would start around noon and go past bar close. Sometimes you dont make it that long depending on how fast you drink. Idk but everyone is different

Drinking before the bars is a specialty because no one wants to pay for $6-$7 drinks or shots when you could already be really drunk upon arrival from cheap liquor and a 30 rack of beer. But shots and drinks happen at the bar anyways which leads to the black out then to the pass out.

Younger Americans (21-25ish) tend to pregame bars because it is frankly cheaper for them. As that cohort ages, and starts to have more disposable income they move away from pregaming towards a more casual setting and spend more at bars. Also, the hangovers get a lot worse.

yeah this, and yes to the hangovers, for me it switched from having a little stomach ache to 3 days of rattling anxiety, right around when I was 20

haha yea so true. When I was in college I could rally any time of the day hangovers never phased me. Now if I rage on a saturday night the entire night or even for a brunch sunday i'll feel like shit for 2 days

I'm a huge fan of rum. I'm a bit older now and rarely go to bars. When I was going to bars I'd make a rum & coke in a liter bottle. Normally the rum would be to the label and the coke would be to the other end of th label. This would get me feeling pretty good and would require maybe 3-4 drinks at the bar.

As for hangovers, I might be the luckiest guy in the world. I'm in my late twenties and may have only had 5-10 hangovers in the 13 years that I've been drinking.

I only drink at parties, mostly because I'm underage. Usually I drink enough to lose my fine motor skills then I'll call it a night.

on a good marathon week ( 7 days of drinking) I'll drink till I black out and then wake up and do it again so the hangover doesn't ever hit till the last day. Then I feel like I got hit by a semi truck for the next few days

Drinking is the one thing that being chubby has helped with. Depending on the night, where my group is going, etc. constitutes on how much and what to drink. My go to is usually just consuming as much Busch Light, Keystone or Miller Lite as I can. Screwdrivers were also a go to. Gets you there, real quick.

Sounds about right.

I have always kinda drank a lot especially for my weight so it's usually 8-10 beers and a couple shots starting around 2ish when I finish work and then head to the bar around 8 and drink till I blackout. I'd say an average of 20 drinks. In my house party days i'd usually crush my case either 18 or 24 and then take shots with homies and shit. If I'm doing blow which is maybe one weekend a month I'll usually get another sixer of tall boys right before 2 and finish that at home or if I'm at a house party just start raiding everyone's cases when they pass out and party till the AM.

Ive been on a Tequila kick lately and it appears im the drunkest one in the room every time I go out. I should stop but i cant stop, i wont stop. Fuckboy proceeds.

I bring my measuring cups to the bar and i approximately drink 2 1/3 cups.

Lately for house parties I would stop by a convenience store, grab myself a bottle of pop, then do roughly 25/75 mix of vodka/pop and sip on that throughout the night.

But vodka gives me brutal hangovers so I need to stop.. But it's so much more efficient than beer haha

average weekend night when i was in school...probably8-20ish beers over 2-10 hours.

now...sous chef, probably 20ish beers a week, plus some bourbon or whiskey

Stuff is absolutely disgusting. I watched an entire generation sink into the original ketamine movement in the 90's. It absolutely devastated the early 90's rave scene .

Killed the vibe of the parties : it went from people on pure ecstasy feeling great to zombies laying all over the place and sitting down instead of dancing. Plus multiple accounts of ambulances hauling people off. That stuff sucks . Worst drug I've ever touched .

When I was at a frat party in Toronto, they were having a beer pong competition, and I was so confused. They'd take a fuckload of cups but only put in like 100mls of beer into each cup. And I'm just there like what the fuck. Admittily they play alot more rounds but fuck

Somebody finally said it. Hangovers and getting drunk seem so miserable to me. I only have a beer or two in a day at most. I'm still in my teens and im skinny so it wouldnt take much more to get fucked up. I'm also cheap as hell... I'm not going to spend my own money on the stuff.
