Flatspin and Cork 180s, Double 540 On The Way?

Grigory Furseev socked the laws of physics last season when his totally legitamate cork 180 went viral.

This year, Henrik Harlaut and a few others did some of the first few flatspin/rodeo 180s.

As an avid trampoliner, I am able to do flat 1s (not cork 1s (legitamately)) and double flat 7s. So a little while ago I thought of combining the 2. The trick would be flat 3 to flat 1. A double flatspin 5. I've tried the trick and personnly cannot do it (yet), but I think this is on the horizon on the tramp and on the hill.

If you think this has been done and or have a video bless us all and cough it up but if not, I'm handing the task of the double 540 onto the great people of NS

I feel like this is what comps might turn into, no one really seems to care about the quad anymore, and triples and doubles are cool, but imo the sport is moving more towards technical, and more stylish tricks

B. Tweaking your grab on a 180 in order to make it look corked is not the same as an actual cork.

None of those are double 540s, both are variations of 900 doubles.

Dude thats not a cork, look at every part of his body except for his one leg way up in the air, not corked. If he grabbed safety with his legs together it would just be a method 1, unless he could get his lower leg to the same height as the top spread one, that's not a cork. It's a 180 spread

Just watched again and paused when he's in the air, I guess it is a little off axis but I defi would call that a cork 1 by any means, untill he can get his legs togather it's just a spread 180 a little off axis, just like how some people make there "double" 720's look double by spreading the fuck outta there legs, looks double but really isnt

In order to be "corked", one must become inverted completely (or at least damn close to be considered legit). Now if one were to do ANY FLIP, during which they became completely inverted, they MUST have completed 360 degrees of rotation in order to have "gone full circle". Based on this dandy logic of mine, I conclude that any double flip automatically makes it a 720. Therefore dub 540s are not possible.

Go ahead, tell me that corks dont have to be inverted, idc

You're right about the doubles having to be at least 720 degrees, but corks are never inverted. An inverted cork is a D-spin, close to what the old guys call full-fulls.

i think that lower angle makes it look more of axis. if you pause it on the last frame on the top angle which is basically at the same point in the rotation as you posted there^ and it doesn't look nearly as corked. he definitely goes a off axis but to me it isn't a cork. like i said if he could throw that other leg up like his right leg it would be. just looks like a cheater cork/ spread to me. he does go off axis though, will give him that.

yeah i guess you are right but then again some cork 3 are less off axis than he goes so idk

Sorry, but corks definitely don't have to be inverted, I'd say that in an ideal cork you should be somewhere from 65° to 125° from vertical axis. Take a look at these sequence shots, they're all legit cork 7s and none of those guys is completely inverted:

uhm.. corks are not inverts. An inverted cork is called a d-spin.

and 90% of what are called flat 3's are actually wackflips. Just cause it's called a cork doesn't mean it is a cork.
