Who advanced/s the sport the most and how?

I'm new to the scene and would like to go back to where it all started and follow right up til now. Who was the Godfather? Who pushed the sport the most? Who made up the most new tricks? Who do you love now and why? Fav edit, fav skier, fav crew, fav trick, who is the best overall ...freeskiing, comp, backcountry, park, pipe, urban.... I really love the documentary Bones Brigade and want that similar background on skiing.

McConkey is the Godfather. Candide pushed and is pushing the sport the most. Idk who made up the most new tricks. I love everyone because skiing is an amazing thing.

My favorite skier right now is probably Henrik, dude is just really fun to watch. Hood crew 4 life. I think Candide is the best overall

Mike Douglas is the Godfather. His nickname for most of his pro career was literally "The Godfather"

Candide pushed the sport the most - can't think of anyone who has repeatedly done what was thought the impossible time and time again.

As far as tricks go, I'd say Jon Olsson probably - at least jump tricks wise.

Honestly in my mind, Delorme is someone at the forefront of progression...I don't think butters and rail tricks would be where they are now, style wise, without him. Plus that air steeze.

Tanner, Evan Raps, Vinnie D, Mike Wilson, the 3 Phils, Seth for big Mtn(seriously)..Pollard and Pep are huuuge for taking it out of the park, so is Andy Mahre..Ahmet for the streets. Sammy, CR, Vanular, JP, JF, obviously Shane, Mike D, Mik D...Steele, Skogen, the list is endless. Sarah Burke and Kristi Leskinen. I'm sure I've forgotten many

That being said....
Candide is no godfather...he is God
