Frontflip fear

I got no balls boys. Sort of just want to send it but im gonna shit myself when im dropping I just know it. I can do them on the ground and on a tramp without a sweat. Just any tips I should know before hand. Thanksss

Try the 3 second rule. When your buddy is standing at the knuckle and says he's ready, you have 3 seconds to drop. After you drop, there's no turning back.

superman fronts are my game.

ill break it down for you.

start moving towards the jump,
when you pop off, instead of popping up off the soles of your feet, pop off your toes.
make an effort to think about popping your body forwards instead of up.
stay stiff for a slight second after you pop and you should be nearly horizontal (stomach facing the snow) at this part of your rotation.
after you feel the pop and your legs scorpion behind you, try to lick your bellybutton (metaphorically) and tuck your feet into your ass
once you feel your equilibrium return to normal, open up
if you timed the air time and flip speed properly you'll stomp it.
once you get them you realize they have far less consequences compared to failing a backflip
you wont be able to see much except for the beginning, and only if you superman it out,
as well as the end of the flip; when your legs get back under you. you pretty much have to just feel it out

Almost all of it is in the is in the pop, the res basically tucking in and timing it. Pop off your toes and off your noses on your skis, that really starts the pop. I didnt do it my first time and went straight to my back and looked like a retard even though i can do them off cliffs and dub on tramp

send it! and i've found that a back protector may help if you're trying it on a smaller jump since skis may make it harder for the rotation to come around. pop off your toes/noses and do it

I can also do them on tramps and want to try one this season. Was thinking about doing them off a steep knuckle since I won't have to deal with the angle of a jump. Good/bad idea?

Yo heres the deal: Off of a roller, pop with one foot while tucking the other straight into your ass. That will give you air and start off your rotation. Next, just like when you learning on a tramp, throw your arms straight down or into your stomach (whichever feels good) and make your head follow. When all thats done, you should be more or less upside-down, so keep that position until you feel like you've completed the rotation and then open up to spot and stomp the landing. Frontflips are probably the hardest basic flip (imo) but have almost zero risk unless you land hard on your back on solid snow, and they're always less scary to huck for. Good luck my dude.

frontflips used to be my go to trick until i overrotated one at nationals in copper last year. theyre super easy and fun. when i go to throw it i stomp one foot at the top of the lip and flip off of that foot. just gotta throw it and open up big when you feel that youre upright

i tried my first one about a month ago at copper. the jump was probably 12 feet and i sent it about 16. the key is a good pop and a solid tuck. you'll spin slower than you expect so really throw it as hard as you can unless you're trying it on a bigger jump, which i wouldn't recommend. i hit the tails of my skis first and then my butt and i was fine. what really helped me was not thinking about it and just going for it. good luck op

We don't really have a park where i ski but i've been throwing them off stuff for years and honestly just get a jump that's super lippy since it will kick you into it. For technique it's pretty simple because you can start off just going for the huck n' tuck and progress from that since you'll still make it around easy if the jump is good.
