do it on a tramp. you have more air time and you can lay it out more than doing a back tuck off a platform. Platform and tramp also have different sets and doing a backie on skis has more of a tramp set. You have wayyy more air time and it just feels more like a tramp backie in my opinion.
You just have to send it. For me, what helped was as I approached the take off, I followed the kicker with my arms and once I got to popping my arms were up, I was leaning back and I just had to let it flow. Honestly you just have to commit and do it. It's very easy once you get past the mental block.
