It's not just Tyson, its the entire industry. Their standards are just sick.

there is really only one farm in my town and the kid that owns it is in my class and was telling me they kill the cows by hooking up car batters to their head.

The meat industry disgusts me. I like to think that when I can afford to, I'll start buying free range meat; you know, the chicken/beef at the store that's like 2-3x the cost of the other stuff.

Happy meat is better meat. When I was younger my parents (and a couple of their friends) went in on half a cow. Literally. It was grass fed free range, and some of the best cuts of meat I've ever had. At one point they also bought free range chicken too, which was also super good. I'm no meat aficionado, but I like eating, and it was good.

The video posted above had me intrigued. Personally, I thought it was more so interesting to see how chickens are slaughtered and it didn't do much for me but I searched to watch more videos.

Then I watched the other ones, the pig slaughter is really sad. Cows too but IMO, I feel like the way they kill the cows seems really humane. I'm sure they miss their target with that stick that puts a bolt or whatever into their brain, but otherwise it seemed pretty damn humane to me.

I did get a little motivation to cut down on meat consumption from watching the videos, but people are really ignorant if they just watch a video of slaughter and like "whhhat i'm never eating meat again". What did you think it was, fake?
