So planning on dropping acid

sometime within the next week or two I plan on dropping acid with a good friend of mine. I've done a bunch of research and I've heard a lot of good things about it. so if anyone has any tips or advice for doing it for the first time that would be great. stories and experiences would be cool too.

Yeah i've heard being in a positive state of mind will reduce the chances of a bad trip. I've also heard wearing bright colors helps, but I'm not sure if that's true or not.

This friend of mine once did it. He took 2 didn't feel anything then proceeded to take more. taking more doesn't make it work better it just makes it last longer. He also told me meditating for 10 minutes beforehand helped a lot. He also said hide your keys you're going to feel like you can be able to drive 5 hours later but you cant. Also he said to pack water and snacks.

Make sure you drop it on floor without cracks so it doesn't seep underneath the flooring. Either that or be safe and drop it outside. Also wear some good footwear so you won't get burned by any splashes.

I always get a bit drunk before I eat it, it helps take the edge off. Also, you might want to try to find a couple people to do it with if it's your first time. You might find out that your friend turns into a total weirdo when he's tripping. Always try to keep talking, stay on funny topics. If it's silent too long, you'll end up getting caught up in your own thoughts and that's a terrible time.

If you've been really stoned before, the come up won't feel too funky but the peak will be a whole new experience. People tend to get a little freaked out when they start seeing the fractals but focus on welcoming the feeling and experience rather than trying to push it out of your mind.

Also I personally feel night trips give me better visuals but make sure the room you're in, if you're going to be inside, is well lit. It doesn't have to be bright but shadows tend to take some terrifying shapes, especially the first couple times while you're still not used to the feeling.

bad trips come from trying to fight the feeling. I have been there and done that. Let what happens happen and never fight it. Flow with it

being in chem class right now i thought i should note that the safest way is to pour it into water, rather than the other way around. or atleast thats what the poster behind my head says...

yeah, I'm real sure that after extensive research, you made the educated decision to drop acid because it's "good for you". Jesus dude, if you're going to do hard drugs please don't be the guy that tries to sell everyone on the benefits of LSD, if you're even got the real thing.

OP I was right where you are a few months ago. Planned on dropping acid on a trip up north with a bunch of my good friends. Did a lot of research, talked with the dealer, made sure it was actually legit (which in my opinion is pretty important) it's definitely not ideal to take research chemicals, because obviously you don't know what they really are. But as far as the trip goes, I really enjoyed it both times because I was outside in the warmth for the most part. I went hiking both times, and ended up swimming both times. Swimming while tripping is a highly enjoyable experience if you get the opportunity. But definitely just enjoy the experience. Some of the more fun times I've had have been while tripping.

make sure your family doesn't have a background of mental illness. my cousin developed Bi-Polar but he also dropped some stepped on shit. Make sure you're doing the real deal. real acid has no taste.

Honestly so much fake stuff going around out there. Especially if you're not in a circle that really knows what's up.

A lot of the "acid" out there these days is research chemicals from asia rather than anything to do with LSD.

I agree. A few beers on the come up is nice to relax yourself.

Just make sure you don't drink too much. When your spun you can drink a shit ton. It's harder with beer which is good but you could drink 26 beers and not know it, and not be drunk. The acid can over power that. At the same time, that's really really bad.

So try not to drink an obscene amount of booze.




Something outdoors is nice, but you're getting low on time before it get's cold. Being someplace where you can move from settings without having to drive is clutch. You don't want to have to drive, especially if you're new to it.

A fire pit might be a nice idea so you can kick it around that. If any of your friends play instruments like guitar, get a little jam session going. Maybe do a short hike.

Might not be a bad idea to turn off your phone. ESPECIALLY if you have a girlfriend. I've seen people get texts or calls and have them getting bitched at, and it can turn things south.

Just take it easy. It will more than likely be a positive time. Make sure your friends are cool. There are some stupid people out there, like HUR HUR HEE HEEE HE WAS LIEK TRIPPING SO I FUCKED WITH HIM HUR HUR HEEE HEEE.

Don't hang out with those people. I mean regardless of tripping, those people are just retarded so avoid.

first time rules: don't do it around a lot of people, it usually helps if you have a sober person kinda keeping an eye out for you, don't do it inside or at night, go on a nice walk on a sunny day and just enjoy.

If you can do it with a sitter that would be best. If not take it with a few of your close friends, preferably a few hours before sunset in a setting that is most comfortable. Do not do it where there is a lot of commotion. I’m not sure about your prior psychedelic experiences but if this is your first time I would stray away from LSD and instead take psilocybin mushrooms. According to John Hopkins University psilocybin mushrooms promote neurogenesis if taken in the correct dose/body weight ratio.

Not to mention most of the LSD I’ve seen nowadays is bunk or some bizarre research chemical, so buy a few blotters and get a test kit. You DO NOT want to risk it! That’s why I tell people for their first time to stick with a low psilocybin dosage. However, If of course the LSD is real then by all means take it.

Remember, psychedelic drugs can bring to the surface many of your insecurities and subconscious thoughts. However, LSD won’t dismantle your ego like shrooms sometimes does, it is mostly fun, high energy and colorful. Just know what you are taking.

If you're mentally 100% ready then do it. I also do not recommend taking it before sunset. Keep in mind the high lasts roughly 8-10 hours so you want to take that shit as early as possible, around noon and get outside and enjoy all the day light and what not, adventure.

Also if you've done Molly, I've heard candy flippin your first time is a good idea because it makes it a way better experience and very little chance of a bad trip.

I don't want to step on your post but in my experiences, pot causes paranoia and the last thing you want to be is paranoid on the come up. Also makes it socially awkward and you don't want to be afraid to talk and share your ideas. Wait for a few hours or just take one or two hits off a bowl.

Be around people you enjoy and trust. Have fun with it. Relax, you're not going to die :)

Oh no I totally agree. I hate smoking before I trip. I was just comparing being super stoned to the initial effects.

OP I definitely wouldn't reccommend mixing L with different substances until you're more comfortable with it.

Im gonna post again and say research mushrooms man. In my opinion the real hallucinogens are the ones that are naturally formed and available... you can literally walk into the forest and find psilocybin mushrooms all across north america. My first time on mushrooms caused this amazing month long afterglow where i stopped smoking cannabis and was the most productive i had been in years.

I haven't tried LSD personally so i won't knock it entirely. I just know there are different adverse affects and risks when it comes to LSD where mushrooms have been shown to be physically beneficial and cause neurogenesis... Essentially turning on new connections in the brain. I can attest to this as i have seriously changed my life for the better since taking mushrooms, gave me this amazing outlook on life.

Either way, be safe. Everyone feels different when they take hallucinogens . I personally like to trip alone, although i will do it with close friends and positive people if the opportunity presents itself. Just go in knowing you will come down for sure and that no matter how bad or good it seems you will be back to normal in 12 hours tops.

haha got back from an apache spirit quest yesterday. dropped a couple tabs and hiked up to a lake in the alpine. built a fire, and survived the night of -4°C. why we waited until fall to do this i do not know.

ehh i hear what your saying. I'm normally about things being as natural as possible, but I personally do not like mushrooms at all. Way too up and down, and hard on my stomach. Acid is a much cleaner feeling drug. There really isn't any scientific proof that one is more harmful than the other. LSD isn't fully synthetic either, it is derived from ergot. Some may even argue that LSD is less harmful than mushrooms.

As I said, i haven't tried LSD so my opinion is skewed. I would be worried about obtaining pure, true LSD. With mushrooms i can be pretty sure of what I'm ingesting. I feel like mushrooms are for more of a profound spritual/ego breakdown where LSD may be a bit more controllable? Is LSD better in social environments?

Why do people make it out that lsd is somehow better for you than 2c-whichever or similar compounds? Aren't the effects of the 2c and others detailed in phikal? Can't imagine any of them are any good for your body.

They are very similar in the ego category but mushrooms are a little less controllable especially with higher doses. At low dose, for my purposes would be less than 1.5 grams, and is very controllable and comparable to a moderate one tab LSD trip. Anything more than 2-3 grams and I wouldn't want to be anywhere near a public setting. However, with 3 tabs, I'm perfectly fine being at a concert or public. Mushrooms feel like my brain is being pulled 15 different ways whereas acid, I'm more observant of my surroundings and want to be a better person. Still analyzing life very similar to mushrooms though. I probably complicated it lol and based off my experiences so it's different for everyone (obviously). So hard to compare once I started typing..not recommended for anyone under 21 though. Wait to you have things figured out in life. I was 24 before it was even a thought in my head about trying it. They are really fun recreationally but they are indeed a tool. Don't go in with expectations but also don't abuse them either. Moderation is key, for real..

A high dosage of psilocybin is less controllable than lsd. What shrooms does differently than almost all other drugs is that it dismantles your ego, and lets your conscious mind observe your insecurities and subconscious/locked away thoughts. Shrooms tend to do this with great intensity.

Thats why if you feel your starting to have a bad trip, usually accompanied by a feeling of negativity and loneliness look inward at the conscience (Meditate), and this makes you lose any fear and/or paranoia and be driven instead by this almighty, unstoppable euphoria (mental and physical). Shrooms won't permanently change you, unless you have some underlying psychotic disease, instead they will show you your true inner self. The intense introspection usually occurs at the peak of the trip, and the pondering and analyzing comes during the comedown. Shrooms are a tool and have been used for thousands of years so one should treat them as a tool to better their self and to have fun.

Just don’t plan on expectation, it won’t work, especially on shrooms. I’m not too sure about doing shrooms in public, I have and at times wasn’t the most pleasant of experiences. Too much sensory information and judgment, probably why many users tend to take shrooms alone and lsd with friends.

The cynicism isn'tt able to touch this because its something that goes beyond this, dog eat dog ego thing. Conscience is part of this otherworldly thing that can't be comprehended with the egos logic. Ego lose can be terrifying but don't fight it. That's my advice. Let everything flow and if things do go bad meditate.
