S.J.WI don't really care because that's their opinion. I have plenty of friends who think skiing is gay and snowboarding is cool. It doesn't make their opinion any less valid. So every opinon you have, you're an expert on the subject? Didn't think so.
No, but exactly like you said it's their opinion and you don't care. Yes everyone is entitled to their own opinion and they are valid, but the weight they hold for argumentative/conversational purposes is limited.
This is because they are outsiders giving an uninformed, uneducated opinion and when talking to people actually interested/involved/whatever in the sport it is taken with a grain of salt.
For example. I do not watching basketball, period, I think it is boring, uninteresting and I do not play, nor have I played ever, yet I love watching baseball, I play baseball, I have always played baseball. If someone tells me baseball is boring and no fun to watch I take it with a grain of salt and, don't give a fuck because someone who has no interest in the sport may not/probably doesn't understand the intricacies of the sport which I personally appreciate and enjoy watching. The opposite goes for basketball and I expect that when talking to someone who loves basketball.
Apply this to the current conversation of bodybuilding. Yes. You are absolutely entitled to your opinion, you don't like it, congratulations. If you walk into a room where 99% of the people don't have a clue about bodybuilding, or they have never lifted a weight, and you ask them their stance of the current state of the sport, the people that do know and care won't and most likely don't give a fuck. Are their opinions valid? Yes, but they hold very little weight to a person who is interested in the sport who understands its intricacies. Therefore, to a degree, asking random in knowledgable people about it is, to a degree, irrelevant
