I've been riding Rossy S3's for the last 3 years and looking to replace them this year as they have been through quite a bit. Sad to be even thinking about replacing them as they have been a game changer. I put up a thread in April asking all mountain ski suggestions with an emphasis on tree skiing. Mainly though, I am looking for the ski to be:
1) Very responsive for tight trees w/ quick turns,
2) I ski and land switch quite a bit, so I want it to carve and charge well switch. That said, I don't park ski much at all and am not too keen on park specs, but I ski switch pretty hard and really enjoy it. "Why do you ski backwards all the time?".
3) Enough flotation for powder (I ride JJ's on deep days so I don't need too fat of skis looking around the 100-105 range)
With that, I have been reading around and taking in suggestions from my other thread, and I am currently leaning towards:
Moment PB&J's w/ Marker Jester Schizo bindings
Soooooo... what are your guys' thoughts? I've never ridden Marker bindings, so I really don't know much about them. Are they reliable? Are they too heavy? What's their life span? The schizos appeal to me for cruiser and jib days or while waiting for trees to soften up in the spring so that I can center mount and toy around and ski switch then set them back for all the other joys of skiing. I've never ridden a center mounted ski, but I think I would love it for how much I ski switch. BUT of course, I don't want to buy a pair for that alone. Reading reviews on the PB&J's, they sound like they are what I'm looking for. Always looking for more input though!
Also, I'm 6'0" 160lb and ski Colorado if that affects your input.
Much appreciated everyone!
