seen some shots of windells and looks to me like it is mostly dirt and really shitty snow. they only have the top rope tow and I saw an Instagram video of the halfpipe that has a massive boulder in the middle. looks like woodward copper has a better camp at the moment. ha. super shitty for mt.Hood

what only one rope tow were are the 2 jumps that most the campers spend there time at ??????????

Gonna be interesting to see what it looks like during the last few weeks.

Place definitely looks gnarly but from what I've seen on instagram the park actually looks really fun. They're Killin it with what they have to work with. Wish I was out there right now..

The snow is pretty low, no secret there. It looks so dirty because its below the ridges. Anytime the wind picks up it blows dust onto the snow. the park still looks really fun. We're hyped to get out there next week.

Woodward Copper was sick. We were out there two weeks ago. They (and even Woodward Tahoe) have sick operations. Fun stuff to ride on and learn tricks and so much stuff to do off hill.

i was skeptical to go there this summer cause of the snow, and here i am in salt lake city kicking myself in the ass in 100+ degrees for not being out there right now

Windells has it a lot easier. Timberline's park crew is fighting the good fight right now and is working their butts off to even maintain a public park.

True, true. They have somehow managed to scrape together a lot from a very small amount of snow. Big ups to them.

Loeythey only have the top rope tow


I just got down from there... I can say with 100% certainty that there are two rope tows available to skiers (there would be 3 but fuck high cascade)

Grateful to be skiing anything this year, let alone in July! We all have bad years, and it's amazing what good things can come out of them. Everyone is still having fun, still learning, making memories. That's what it's all about!

The last time snow was this bad Windells cancelled the last session. I don't know if there were any repercussions though. Also this year COC cancelled the last 2 weeks of their camp. The northwest got hit hard this year.

Hey All,

While we can talk again and again about Palmer, the snowfield, Mount Hood, etc. We wanted to chime in really quick before everyone heads out on their Holiday vacation.

Both Windells Camp and Timberline Lodge are 100% invested and committed into a fully operational summer program, with no plans on cancelation.

Portions of a 22foot Superpipe with air-bag will remain open throughout the summer, and both our shared Lap Park (with High Cascade) and our private lane will be filled with hips, jumps, rails, boxes, and transitions of all sorts. Things are changing on a daily basis, and we are analyzing snow conditions and the mountain daily to ensure that our campers are receiving the true summer skiing experience.

If us public riders get the boot soon, can we pay for day passes to Windells? Kind of like open skate but on hill?


not really expecting a "yes" but if something could be worked out, I know a bunch of us would be stoked to keep riding.

Unfortunately, day passes are not something that we are able to offer. In terms of a Public Park, this is not something we are able to speak on, and we will have to wait on a word from Timberline.
