Should Burning the US Flag be Legal?

What is your opinion on the matter? Should it be legal? Should it be illegal? Only under certain circumstances?

It's a waste of fabric and a pretty futile exercise. I'm sure one's objections would be taken far more seriously if they could express them in a well reasoned piece of prose. But if someone if feels a burning desire (sorry couldn't resist) to set fire to the flag of any nation or organisation then they should be able to.

If that flag becomes a symbol of a tyrannical and genocidal regime that no longer represents myself or those who I care about, and rather gives me a bad name, I reserve the right to set that shit on fire.

... which begs the question of what that flag stands for.

I've always thought flags were stupid. Well maybe not always but at least for a while. We hang them up everywhere, people have them in their cars, laws, houses, light posts, everywhere. As if it's a giant circle jerk to see who's more American. I'd rather see 0 flags and have America moving in a positive direction than a bunch or "patriots" because their house looks like they dropped $10000 at the dollar store on sick red white and blue gear but still vote for assclowns and are generally ignorant.
