Tailoring my skinny pants

So I bought a pair of slim ski pants, however they fit like they are regular. So I was thinking of getting them tailored. what damage is it gonna do to my wallet? and what are the chances, they are gonna come back messed up?

take them to a tailor and it'll cost you like 40 bucks

When your snow pants were taken in the seamstress would have had to take out the old seams. The seams in waterproof ski pants have the seams taped in the manufacturing process to prevent water from entering through the seams and needle holes from the stitching.
Wear a good pair of base layers that wick moisture from your skin, so if water does seep in you will be more comfortable and dry.

There are plenty of things you can do. Learn to do it yourself, tell them to do it anyway and ask if they can re-tape them, if not maybe they can recommend someone who can, buy your own seam tape and do it yourself after OR sell your pants/ return them if not used and buy tighter fitting pants.
