Mystery animals in your house

This afternoon I was hanging out, watching TV in my basement suite and I looked over and there was a cat sitting on my table. I didn't have any windows or doors open and had been in my place for a few hours. I didn't run out or leave any doors open, yet somehow there was a black cat just sitting there, staring at me. I just about had a heart attack.

Has anyone else had random animals mysteriously show up in their place?

yea op this happened to me before. so i was taking care of these peoples houses and i was feeding their steers and i hear these footsteps. so i quickly turn off my flashlight (im in the dark btw) and freeze and stop to listen. i hear the little footsteps coming closer. at this point i think its a skunk or some rabid dog. so i keep just being still and quite then i feel it rub up against my leg. i flip out and yell some sort of profanity. i turn my light on and i see this innocent starving kitten. so out in the country we usually just let these type of animals dye and think nothing of it. but eventually when the owners of the house came home the cat was still begging for food, so they made me take the cat. i raised him and named him roner. hes now the nicest and friendliest cat and has super long legs and tail when he actually stands up.

lol that story wasnt scary but when i was in the dark i almost crapped my pants.

We found a dead Timber Wolf laying in the entranceway our hunting shack with the door wide open (Never locked and the latch bolt doesn't catch all the time). It still looked fresh so it must had died within a few days of us getting their. I would have probably shit my pants if the thing was still alive.

I live alone. I used to have neighbours upstairs, but they moved about a month ago and no one has moved in yet. They didn't have a cat.

I once had 2 coyotes sneak into my house through an open window in the middle of the day... They walked around for a bit and tryed to get back out, they did haha the funniest part was my cat he ran and jumped up the wall...

haha, ok, well then that's officially fucking weird. i've never had any mystery animals aside from some massive spiders (which i hate with a passion). however, i did wake up one night and walk to the fridge to get a drink only to find a 5 foot python laying in the middle of my kitchen...just chillin' on the floor. fucker got out of his cage somehow and scared the shit out of me in my half drunken/half asleep dehydrated stupor.

I work for my municipality, and one of our jobs is to empty out the local school's trash. So I walk over to the trash can and I open It up, and theres a racoon just chilling in the bottom of it in a pool of what I assumed was rotting urine. Showed my boss and asked if we could keep it. He said "no I'm taking it to the farm" Never saw it ever again.

I have this little black cat that loves to chill in the shrubbery of my backyard. Whenever I go to pet it he runs away but it always comes back. Fucking weird ass cat

So they mystery has been solved.

Apparently my landlord was at my place while I was gone. He ran downstairs to grab some of his tools and went back upstairs for about 10-15 minutes and left the doors open. When he went back downstairs, he saw the cat and thought I got a cat or was watching one for a friend. Rather than accidentally letting it go, he left it in my place.

I still can't believe it took a few hours before I noticed it once I got home...
