Having been to most of the major cities in Texas, only Austin and maybe San Antonio were at all cool. Dallas itself was alright, but the metroplex as a whole is horrible... El Paso is gross as hell.. Midland/Odessa is downright appalling... Amarillo seemed pretty fucking shitty too, even though we didn't stop there, or anywhere really, between OKC and somewhere in New Mexico during that trip... and Houston is just fucking awful in particular... Seriously, Fucking NASA is there and somehow the people seem to all be extremely lacking in any real intelligence.

Also, I'd trust the water in Mexico more than the puke they have come out of the taps in that state...

texas is pretty damn cool actually, once you get away from the big cities and avoid some of the shitty areas it can be an awesome place. really nice people, awesome landscape for outdoorsy stuff, fast speed limits and good drivers. one of the few places left in the US that hasnt been overrun with idiots and still has some actual character. doesnt apply to the big cities though, except maybe austin.

You can find them en massé in every state in the Union and country in the world.

WA sucks because we have a Dem Governor who is in contempt of our Constitution for failing to fund education, the last two mayors of our largest city were elected only because they were not the last guy, no one believes in improving traffic or our road system, and most people don't understand the concept of driving anywhere close to the posted speed limit on the highways, we are overrun with hipsters with shitty beards and tight jeans.
It's still a great place to live.

Washington has some cool mountain towns. But BC is the best place to visit hicktowns, and the people are genuinely nice instead of racist conservatives.

... Perhaps in the Kootenays - IE: Nelson. I doubt it would go the same for places in Alberta or other prairie provinces.

Jade Helm has nothing to do with militarizing the police. My guess is the only way the locals will notice a military presence is when the obesity rates in their counties suddenly flux down for a few months when a handful of increadably fit men between 25-45 show up.

Where do you think most of the special operations, and military community sits on the militarization of police forces and the US Constitution. For over 200 years the US Military has owed its loyalty to that piece of paper, not any other part of the government. That is an idea worth entertaining.
