Photo Critique

This is my first time uploading some of my shots. Would like to know what you guys think ( feedback) and which one you think is the best. These are all raw shots. didn't do anything with them in post such as photoshop ETC.

I think the first one and the third one are really good, the 3rd one might be my favorite by a little bit.

The angle on #1 is goofy, it feels off kilter, dont really like it,

#2 i think is a poorly executed #1

and #3 it really interesting and has a vibe that resonated with me really well..

I like the 3rd one the most.

I don't know how experienced you might be with photoshop/lightroom, but something I would recommend trying would be to take another shot with a fairly low ISO but a longer shutter speed to where you can see most of the detail in the foreground and the background, and then take the photos into photoshop to mask the foreground and background to the first picture with the stars.

Nice shots, post them to the photography thread next time.



I like the colours and composition for the most part, but the horizon isnt horizontal in 1 and 3, and that just kinda bugs me a bit.

I'd say the same as ^ as well, try to go with a lower ISO to give the sky a more black feel rather than being rainbow coloured, just bump the aperture wider (lower number) or take the shot for longer.

When you said raw shots, do you mean you shot them in raw? If so, it would be worth a shot just tinkering with them a bit and seeing what makes the aspects you like stand out more.
