AP Tests 2015

Sorry to remind anyone taking an AP course of these 3 hour long exams with monolithic standards. What tests are high schoolers of NS taking? Feel free to talk about the exams here when you finish. The rules call for not talking about these tests online but it really doesn't matter. I doubt anyone on the west coast will be checking NS right before the exam to gain insight on what the test will be like from someone who took it on the east coast.

john18061806 is taking AP Calc BC and AP Physics 1 algebra based

I'm a little freaked by AP Calc BC because there is a lot of material and the scoring guidelines for the calc FRQs are really anal over notation and references to theorems. I can easily get the right answers but I overlook those small things easily. It is nice how the test is half AB and half BC though.

Im thinking AP Physics 1 algebra based is going to be pretty easy, most of it is just common sense or plugging in numbers into equations. Most people in my class are going to crash and burn because it's the same day as AP English and my teacher really isn't adequately preparing us at all. Also since the test is new this year there aren't any practice exams from previous years online.

I'm taking the AP Music Theory Test in May. It's a pretty difficult test with tons of different concepts to remember. I also heard the AP Physics 1 test was the easier one. I've have several friends taking the one this year.

ap european history. i don't think it should be that hard, but i had some buddies take it last year and they said it was one of the hardest tests they've ever taken. hopefully the ap board made it easier this year

I'm taking Calc BC, Physics C, and German language. I should get about a 4 on the BC Calc test (maybe better if I learn the fucking Taylor series) and a 5 on Physics. No idea on the German test, since my school doesn't offer the actual AP German course and I'm the second person here to ever take it. I'll either do really well or bomb it. Ich drücke meine Daumen!

On another note, I'm being hailed as the first person at my school to make it through BC Calc and Physics C without owning a calculator. Never did shit in class and borrowed a friend's calculator for the tests :^)

Are you rainman? I mean a lot of calc is just concepts over calculations but integration can be a pain in the ass when you could just get your calculator to do it for you. Taylor series is super easy for me but a lot of sums of series is just beyond me. I never took AP Calc AB, luckily I can get credit for that if I do bad on the BC part. Polar stuff doesn't phase me but I've had trouble remembering Euler's method.

Even if I do horrible on the test, at least it will make calculus in college super easy for the first year.

taking ap us history and ap spanish 5 this year. I'll probably get a 4 on history but I'm not hopeful about spanish cuz i dropped the class after first semester.

There's absolutely no margin for taking your time on the multiple choice or three essay section, its just one right after the other. Plus writing is one of those things you never know if you're pulling off well in a timed situation, you could write the worst essay of your life and think it was fire

It's not too hard, pretty much a class on how badly we are destroying the environment. the FRQ's will be interesting, trying to recall specific info from the entire year, but its really not that bad

AP Computer Science A: Pumped as fuck, got a 5 on the practice exams. The teacher for that class is a saint. She has us review for the test since the first day of school, and it really pays off.

AP 11 Language and composition: Fucked, my teacher is so awefull. We litterally learned 2 weeks before the test that there's a third essay. We analyzed newspapers for a week, pointless. I'm PRAYING for atleast a 3. Nobody in our school has gotten a 5 with her as a teacher for the past 10 years, and she gets like 3 fours a total

AP US History: Meh, the test seems easy enough. Multiple choice not too hard now that it is all stimulus based. Tbh, I could care less about what I score on that, as long as it is a 3 or above. Just want college credit, not going to be some history major, or need history as a computer programmer.

I'm excited for all the APs to be over, because then 3 out of my 6 classes will be movie watching and partying! AND NO HOMEWORK! Whoooo!

Sorry for sub post, but I'd like to actually be able to do good on my AP 11 language and composition test regardless of my retard teacher. If anyone has any review that helped them, or any kind of tips I WOULD BE VERY THANKFULL

Everyone in my class thinks it's the hardest class they've ever taken. Personally the class is really easy. It might be the teacher or they're all morons.

Yea but compared to APs, regents are easy as heck. I took the English 11 regents the 3rd month of school this year because it was an option for AP kids. I got a 90. Stoaked I don't gota do shit in june

As a junior in college, I want to offer some advice. Please take them seriously. They make college so much easier. I haven't had to take a math, history or english class since high school since I passed APUSH, Calc BC, AP English and AP Lit. It was well worth the time studying for a couple weeks instead of over a couple semesters.

Just heard some reassuring word that 59.3% right earns a 5 on calc BC test. I still need to study but that is a damn large cushion. No wonder 50% of people who take it get a 5. Some questions are stupidly hard but with enough reason and knowledge of calculus can be done, the only thing that is hard is the time constraint on the no calculator section.

The full length AP Physics 1 practice exam that the college board released was not too bad (only released to teachers). The curve and score distribution for the real test will be interesting though.

Screw my classmates in that class. My teacher is kind enough to go over every homework problem in class before we turn it in but everyone in my class takes advantage of it, they don't do the homework and just let him do it for them. Because of that huge waste of time he didn't get to teach us the last 3 chapters out of the book covering subjects on the test, he just told us to learn it on our own over the weekend.

Lazy kids in an AP class are the cause of their own downfall and they pin it on the teacher. I'm screwed because I have to devote my time now to AP Calc BC and learn all the stuff we didn't cover in class for physics the night before the test. Sweet. I really hope my professors in college care less about lazy students.

There have been a lot of ap Physics practice problems released by the college board, my teacher has been giving us packets each day. Idk if they are for teachers only or if they are available to students as well but i will say the multiple choice that we have been getting is mostly just logic

The algebra in the AP Calc BC multiple choice was harder than any of the calculus work. That definitely cut the number of questions I got right in half. FRQs were alright the multiple choice was much harder than any practice test (previous years tests) that I had ever taken.

Just took Calc BC. It was meh. The series FR was pretty fuggin hard.
Also I'm taking Physics C. I breezed thru the practice mechanics, tho E and M is absolutely nuts. Im pretty sure a 5 is a 50% thats how hard it is
