Charger skis without 5 point sidecut......Hojis

I got some armada norwalks because i want a stiffer charger ski with nose rocker but no tail rocker

unfortunately i hate them, and i finally figured out that it's the same reason i hated the JJs (beyond the tail rocker): the 5 point sidecut. i like to drive my tips and track straight lines, and these don't want to do that at all

so what are some similar ish skis that don't have 5 point sidecut? i also want something light ish because ill be mounting them with tyrolia adrenalins like i did the norwalks to skin with sometimes. are the Hojis a good charger ski?

devastators look great but what is reflect tech? i like a ski that busts through crud

any answers or other suggestions would be great. stiffish charger, nose rocker, maybe some camber, no tail rocker, no 5 point sidecut, preferably light ish

I spent the year on it and it's probably my new favorite ski.
Full, Carbon construction, super stiff, but it has an 18.5 m radius, so It's great in the tight trees.
I have Dynafit Beasts on them and they weigh about 6lbs a ski.
Its also very very aggressive. After I took them off and went back to my J skis I felt unstable as all hell.
It's hands down on par with a Helldorado if you want a 5 point ski with out a twin.

yeah the cochise look and sounds awesome but im looking for something a tiny bit jibbier, if only because i don't have the budget for a multiple BC skis. if im out of the resort im gonna use this pair so they need to be chargeable but they also need to be suitable enough for hitting jumps and shit

Pretty darn good. I am very impressed by their quality, plus they will stand by their product if something goes wrong.

As a tec I am always impressed when small companies can build durable skis and stand by them down the road as well.

Yea, I was honestly weary at first, but after about 20 hard days on them I'd put them as my #1 tied with a Helldo

sammy_JJyou are right the new cochise are not a jibby ski and the tails are a bit shorter in comparison to the Hojis but they do have a nice pop/spring to them even in softer deeper snow. They were designed to be a head first work horse and that is exactly what they do.

At the end of the day just have to pick the ski that matches your riding style and interest the most. There are hundreds of different skis out there because everyone rides slightly different



For sure, I wasnt trying to argue at all. I need to get on the new cochises one of these days to see if the added camber gave a little life to the skis, I found the older full rocker ones to be pretty damp and dead feeling.

That said, OP said he wouldnt mind something more jibby and light and thats where I think the HOJIs are a little bit more suited than the cochises

Yeah sounds about right with the Hojis if he wants something more jibby and the Hoji is a better especially if he wants to use it for a single quiver that also tours as it is lighter than the cochise.

The old cochise skied like the Volkl mantra in the way that they have a big burly bruiser with a dead feel when you are skiing them.

The Added camber does make it surprisingly much more poppy and lively especially for such a bruiser of a work horse.

But mantras were full camber, then camber with a bit of early rise until this season when it went full rocker. The older versions before it went full retard were full of life and that edge to edge snap you would expect from a volkl ski.

The current Hoji is the best ski I have ever been on. Absolutely rips. Stiff, solid, full rocker that can turn on a dime without letting the edge loose. Reflect tech is the sidecut matching the rocker profile, so when you get it on edge you get a full length edge with no chatter. They ripped on the groomers and in the chop, and were definitely a ton of fun in pow. They feel much narrower and are super maneuverable.
