NS should make a ski trickipedia

I was looking at The Berrics (a skate website) when I saw that they have a "trickipedia" that he post weekly a new trick with a very clean example. This could help eliminate confusion about tricks and what they are called. This way instead of people fighting about it, boom! its right there. If this idea is good, comment so it stays fresh. Or suggest something.

I was thinking of something similar to this.Make it similar to the gear review where it would contain every trick, but people would post there videos, good examples would get rated up and be at the top and bad ones would be at the bottom that way there is more than one video to look at.

I think it would be an awesome idea. I could see a layout somewhat similar to Urban Dictionary where people could upload either explanation and/or a video clip of the trick. Add a little spot where people can up or down vote the explanation/video to judge for accuracy of explanation.

I could see this like Urban Dictionary also, but i could see it with sections on spins, grabs, flips, rails, terminology, and other stuff

I remember this idea getting tossed around a few years ago, specifically in regards to grabs, and Tom Wallisch kinda went down this path with the Trick Tip Fridays that he did for a season. I think this is a solid idea, and would love to see it happen. I can see this being a thing that gets a solid start (awesome videos for 3's, 5's, etc basic tricks) but tapering off and ultimately stale. So, if you can find a way to do it without it gathering dust, that would be awesome!

There used to be one where anybody could upload their trick, name it whatever they wanted, and make it whatever they wanted...I don't think we're missing anything there

It would be kind of neat though to have a section with a featured person (different every time, maybe not) post up a video and a picture with a nice little how to

I think it would also be totally cool if new tricks added could be rated, like news articles! Say someone creates a sick new way to slide a rail, they post it as a trick and boom, some up votes and then on the front page all of NS can see the progression of the sport in creative ways
