look, idk what its called when you put your poles(baskets first) between your legs...but im pretty sure its not a cossack.
also, your legs go forward, not just to the side. biggest mistake in cossackdom

a spread eagle with poles in your pooper =/= cossack.

One of my (many) takeaways from this last week is that cossacks MUST be done with the pole handles in the crotch and the poles sticking out to the side. This looks MUCH better and helps you avoid the awkwardness associated with accidentally smacking yourself, tangling your poles or generally looking like a gaper. Until last Sunday I was a solid poles between the leg man, now I have been converted forever

These guys know whats up...why you'd do all the extraneous movements to get your poles between your legs, just to not be doin the trick anyway, blows my mind.

The thread has been saved. Every post I read down the the post reply button, I lost faith in NS users for oldschool tricks. The cossack is a trick where you gotta be flexible as hell. If your crotch and inner thigh doesnt burn; you are not doing it right.

Might as well call the "wack off your pole in the air" move a real trick.

ive only been skiing for 3 years. i ski at pebble creek ID. and ive only seen people do it in between their legs. ive just kind of seen people do it the other way on some old school videos and thats about it.

I saw Sander Hadley do them that way (poles between legs). Also I remember seeing parker whites "triple" Cossack with his poles between legs. Probably my two biggest influences
