We just launched our 6th annual Grom Contest, in which any slayer under 18 can win a Sony Action Cam every week and also, at the end of the contest, the chance to film with TGR itself. You can see a preview of last year's winner, Alta local Seth Klein, shredding with Sage Cattabriga-Alosa for this year's movie over at TGR https://www.newschoolers.com/membervideo/752897.0/slaying-the-east--peak-to-park?s=188483&t=6&o=8Curious what we're looking for in your edit? Here's our judging criteria:
-You may submit up to 1 edit a week.
-Our top ski and snowboard edit each week will win a 2014 Sony Action Cam.
-Only 1 edit can win the Grand Prize.
-Facebook "Likes" will not influence judging but will help your video get seen.
-You must be 17 years old or younger on May 3, 2015.
-Participants that are 12 years old or younger must have a parent or legal guardian submit edits using their own account and verify consent.
-All athletes must have permission from their parents or legal guardian to enter this contest.
-Submissions are open internationally.
-Submissions will close May 3, 2015.
-Videos must be under 3 minutes.
-You must have rights from the filmer to submit the footage. Music must be cleared for posting in the edit on the Internet. Footage can be from anywhere in the world and made up of park, urban, powder, big mountain etc.
-Quality of action and level of riding are the main deciding factors. A tight edit with your best footage will probably score better with the judges. Do not make them wait through your B shots to see your A shots. Length of video is not a deciding factor. We need to see enough to see your skills. A tight 2 minute edit will usually be more impressive than a loose 3 minute edit.
