Critique My Edit +K

Just made this edit and decided to try and approach it with a different style than my previous edits. I used the 2.35 crop marks and also tried to pay more attention to framing and color correction. Filmed for about an hour for this edit. Next time I want to mix in some tripod shots to give it a little more variety. Let me know what you think.

I like it. Super chill and some good shots. I really like the sky transition deal. One of my pet peaves is long edits, and yours is short and well done. Good job my friend

Nice man, some great shots, loving the screamin semen.

Not my choice of music but its unique which is nice, sky transition is rad.

Only thing i'd say is try maybe add one or two different camera angles rather than just the follow cam!

Thanks! +K, and I agree. Next time I will spend more time filming and try to mix up the angles a bit. Thanks for the comment.

Nicely done. Short and sweet. Good method sometimes with edits. The intro was a little long for me. I think you could have cut to some close ups of the skis when taking them out of the car to not make it feel so dragged. I really liked the transition from tilt up to tilt down. There was one clip in the middle with the skier going towards the lift I felt also dragged a little, but besides that well done.

Overall it's a good edit, but try working on the sound. Maybe get a better mic or a Rode Smartlav? Don't be afraid to get closer to the subject or zoom in more on your shots if you have a zoom. Followcams doesn't always have to be zoomed out and you going behind the rider. Try riding switch and film in front of the rider maybe!

Killin' it at spirit!

Good edit, man! Some good skiing mixed with some good shots. I do agree the into was a little long for the length of the video but other than that I had no complaints.
