Found a pair of 2014 chronics 171cm for a good price. I am an aggressive skier 5'8'' and 135 pounds, is 171 the right size for me?

As for the skis, they are in the ballpark when it comes to length. However we need a bit more information as in what you plan on doing with the skis to determine if they are right for you or not.

I'm pretty much the same size as you, and got those exact same skis last season. I wish I got 178's. I skied 55-45 park-all mtn on them.

well i started riding park this season and have been using my 164 k2 recoils. They are great for all mountain but feel small and the heavy weight of the skis have been getting annoying in the park. I used my friends 176 atomic punx a few times and absolutely loved them in the park but were a little too stiff for me, i liked the poppy feel to them though. I have been informed that the chronics would be a perfect ski for me so i just wanted to make sure that the 171's would be a good length.

I think 171's would be a good size. Not to big but not to small. Recommended length for your height is 173cM so you should be good.
