Might be a stupid question how much is a true center mount differ from center mount? Because i feel like every center mounted ski i own the distance from tip and tail is always off. If someone could explain the difference if any that would be appreciated.

I went my local shop to mount my skis and when i get them back they looked fine and their fine when i ski. The factory mounting points is what they used. But when i measured from the specs from boot center to tip is 2 inches off from boot center to tail. Knowing what centered means im thinking both distances should be equal. By the way i have the volkl steps if that makes a difference or not.

For some absurd reason, "boot center" is a few cm behind true center on Steps (I think it's that way on Walls too). I don't know why you'd want anything other than a true center mount on symmetrical skis, but I'm afraid that's your answer.

Thanks appreciate the feedback. Ill get them remounted if previous drilled holes aren't too close.
