4frnt YLE mount point

So I just bought me some brand new 2013 4frnt YLES.

They question I have is where to mount them? I know 4frnt has a recommended line and that line usually skis pretty well, but I've heard of some people liking it mounted up or back(mounting
Point is around -2.5 from true center).

So where do you like your YLES mounted Ns?

I ride mine at recommended and have no complaints. There is a reason why it's recommended.

Yeah I know, and 4frnt is pretty good on their mount points. But after just talking to a few people and hearing their input I made a thread to see what people like best

The farther you move the mount forward the less tip float you will get, just a thought. And also, how often will you be skiing switch in powder?

I mounted my 2014 Cody 4frnts at -2.5 and I love it. Recomeneded was -5.

It's a symmetrical ski so you could mount it dead center. That being said the recommended point really is the right place

Kind of a symetrical ski. The dimensions on the 187 ski say they are but the middle of the sidecut is put back a bit.

Yeah the taper in the tip puts the center of the sidecut about -2.5(where recommended is) but the dimensions are still symmetrical. I'll probably end up going recommended just wanted some insight from people who ha e ridden them

I'd go -2.5 from true center. I had to mount mine a -4.5 because of a previous mount and they still ski great there
