Swapping similar bindings
If I have marker quires and i want to upgrade to marker griffons, I dont need a re-drill, correct? i'm pretty sure they have the same pattern. and if so how would i go about doing so?
If I were to do it for myself on my own skis (so I am not liable for for what you are doing with your skis)
I would first remove the squires with a screw driver and then determine how worn the skis look, as well as the core. If the core looks like it could be possibly old or worn I would first try and fill the holes with some steel wool to assure the screws grip the inside the ski. If the core looks fresh and ready to go i would proceed to fill the holes 1/3 with my water proof wood glue, and then mount the griffons, and be sure to hand tighten them so you do not over torque and strip the threads in the core.
but thats just what i personally would do, i do not advise anyone but a certified ski technician to tune or handle your skis or bindings....
