Garebeardetuning them helps, doesn't make too much of a difference though
Wheatdetuning will actually help alot in the long run for the longevity of your edges. If your edges are sharp and you hit a rail, it can actually crack alot easier as they will heat up more then a rounded edge would. I didn't detune my first pair of park skis and got a fair amount of edge cracks. I detuned my new ones and it helps alot with riding smoother. Not to mention you wont catch an edge as easily if they detuned.

JackDeLootMy previous boss has tuned skis for like of bobby brown, vinni cash and woodsy, and i follow his advice.
I file the 6-8 inches underfoot almost completely round. I also take the sharpness out of the contact points of the ski to reduce edge catching on butters and such. this also allows you to initiate your turns without a jerky catching motion as you turn.
deeznuts. Thanks for the advice, can I detune my edges myself? Or should I just take my skis to my local shop and ask them to detune them
deeznuts.Would just filing down the around 8 inches underfoot be good as a starting point?
