Hey NS, Slvsh is a freeski matchup league similar to what Stept's Skate on Snow was. We've filmed 12 games so far. The first game, Noah Morrison vs Noah Wallace, drops tomorrow, October 14th, on http://www.slvsh.com

I think it’s a bit harsh calling dollo out for repitition. That’s 3 games in the same park he’s played, at a guess I’d say there are maybe 15-20 sets per game. I could be off but you get the picture.. there are always gunna be repeated sets unless they switch up parks.

Would be good to see more jumps though

I think that it would be ridiculous not to, there are 100s of combinations of tricks and lines that can be called and if you have the command of skis that henrik does then its ridiculous to repeat the same trick multiple times

thebusiness19This might have influenced how Henrik was playing. I mean let's be honest no one wants to lose to someone almost 10 years younger in their own terrain park lol.

It's weird how much different games can cause different uproars lol. One game someone is calling doubles and everyone is like "its a dick move to call doubles". So like any really challenging or specific trick that an opponent knows the other opponent won't be able to do, like Tom's bio 10 stale is a dick move. But then Henrik, who's crazy consistent, does rail lines that he knows from skiing Grand Valira all winter, and then people are up in arms because it's boring.

I understand each of those, but its kind of hard to judge people for their sets. As much as Slvsh is made for our entertainment, not every skier will be like "what will be most entertaining for people at home", they will think "what can I do to win this game and not find myself in a situation where I get totally skunked".

PinsAndNeedlesNot sure if Hess was just entirely off his rail game, or if he's just not that great at rails to begin with. In the QF, he was ripping the jumps, and I would have liked to see a little more of that.


You do realize he's primarily a pipe skier, right?

On this note I believe I need to clarify that I love slvsh and this is more of an overall ski thing, I honestly believe that people should call others out for stuff like this because that encourages either
A: New and unique tricks/combos
B: Different styles of riding
Both of which I believe make a rider special
(Ex Woodsys dub blunt 7)
Tricks like that are what really gets me stoked and part of why I love slvsh, because sure a cork seven is considered a pretty bland/easy trick for the riders in slvsh games but how many people other than Woodsy have you seen do that grab?

you can enjoy something and also simultaneously be critical of it. criticism =/= backlash. there are not mutually exclusive concepts.

Park_Ranger- Nah, you either have style or don't. It's not something that an already pro skier is going to all of a sudden grow into like you suggest.

Thats an ignorant comment, style absolutely evolves. Hell it can even change drastically, look at Jossi or magnus....sure 18 is ripe, but years definitely smooth things out.

Henrik is most likely the winner, that was pretty nasty but hope he pulls some different tricks in the next game cause Hunter had to deal with the same shit he had already seen. For you guys hating on the sets in the last game. It rained/snowed and got super hot right before we started skiing that day. The snow was super sticky and unpredictable. Any part of the jump or other bigger features were pretty much out of the picture until the sun started to go down. Unfortunately we had less time this year than in the past so we didnt have much time to delay games...

I’m guessing you weren’t around in 2008 when Henny was doing more rotations than anyone. I can assure you he can set spins up there with the spinniest of the spinners

Of course it evolves, but you have to have good style to begin with. You can't evolve style if you don't have it to begin with. Jossi and Magnus have been dripping in it since birth. Sure they have changed it up over the years, but its always been built off of a base that is made of natural steeze. You either have it or you don't. In my opinion, Hunter Hess's style is garbage. Sue me kids
