Atomic Rival a good choice for east coast (North Carolina) park and all mtn ski?
Yeah so I'm purchasing a new pair of skis this month and I really like the Atomic Rival. I was curious if this ski, being 83mm at the waist, would be a good choice for North Carolina/WV skiing in the park and all over the mountain? It can get pretty icy, how would they hold up? I can comfortably ski any run at any east coast resort and I'll be taking these out to Park City in december also. I'd really appreciate some unbiased opinions. Thanks
Forgot to mention, the other skis I would consider are the k2 silencers. Which would be best in your opinions? I'm about 60% all mtn 40% park
I wouldn't buy Rival's if you're hitting park, they're an all mountain ski, they will be good on groomers but they will lack the thick edge and base that you need for a ski that's being used in the park to last.
Something like the Atomic Infamous or Punx would be a better choice. Both will be good for skiing all mountain and both will do better in the park. And they have a similar waist width to the Rival as well as the rocker-camber-rocker profile.
