I'm missing Christmas

I havent posted a new topic in awhile, but I'm feeling a bit blue because it's Christmastime, and I'm in Thailand. It's not that I'm here on a two week vacation...I'm here all year on exchange. I miss my parents, who I havent talked to in 2 months, my sister who I havent spoken to in 5 months, and my kitty who I havent patted in 5 months. I have no presents, no tree, and worst of all no snow. I havent skied in nine months and nobody in Thailand really understands the importance of Christmas to me. They have their special festivals and everything, which you could equate to Easter or Thanksgiving, but nothing like Christmas. My girlfriend is pissed cause I bailed on a date because I had to stay up the entire night before watching out for my passed out friends, and I am being forced to go to school on Christmas fucking eve! Tomorrow I have to play Santa Clause to 1800 screaming 12 year olds and make a presentation in a language I can barely speak (Thai). I just failed my chemistry mid-term because I joined the class 2 weeks ago and to top it off my two best friends just started smoking.

I just want to go to sleep for the next 10 days until the holidays are over. I'm seriously fuckin depressed and I'm an asshole to everyone, and I just needed to get that all out while I prepare to to the intolerable sin of having rice for Christmas dinner with people that dont understand the whole concept of the goddam holiday. Not to mention I havent gotten a single Christmas card from my so called friends after they forgot my birthday two months ago.

I cant fuckin wait to come home.

wahh. this isnt the last christmas ever you know. everything will be as you left it when you get home. make the most out of being in thailand or whatever and it will make you a man.

Yeah. That sucks that you are missing Christmas. But whining and being a dickhead to everyone isn't going to make it any better or make Christmas come to you. So, how about you give those parents and sister that you miss so fucking much a 5 minute Christmas phone call?

I'm going to. I'm staying up till 2 in the morning so I dont wake them up on Christmas morning, and my sister is at college dick. It's not like I'm not glad to be here, but holiday season is supposed to be uplifting, not depressing.

for more people than you know Christmas is the most horrible time of the year. there are far more suicides now than any other time of the year. there are people without homes or any food at all to eat on this holliday. there are people with out familys to spend the holiday with. You should be thankful for what you do have. It may not be as much as what some of us have, but its more than others. and dont sweat the exchange. Youll be back before you know it.
