Why's it creepy for someone to have a Costco sized year's supply of tampons that they're not going to use and are totally willing to give to somebody who will?



..fun story. When I was a kid, me and my brother would take my mom's tampons (the unused ones, idiot..) and pull them out of their applicator, flip them around so they resembled sticks of dynamite with a fuse string hanging out of them.

Then we'd place them around the house and pretend they were dynamite and imagine them exploding like a Bruckheimer film. I was creative as fuck when I was 5.

Maybe because there's two six page debates on sexism in the world and ns, and when I try to get some kind of idea of the potential of winning shit on ns for girls, the first idea of an ideal prize for us is tampons. Therefore not being taken seriously, and being deduced to tampax and more sexism.

I feel ya girl. It is annoying but I don't think he meant anything by the joke. Once he pointed out what he meant by lady products, it was pretty hilarious

I'm not sure he was trying to make a joke. When you said lady products I automatically thought of tampons too. In saying that though whenever I ask my boyfriend to get tampons for me I tend to refer to them as 'lady products'. I assumed that's what he thought you were talking about too, not just making a joke about girls only needing tampons or something.

That's priceless.

Also I found a tampon applicator my gradmas rat dog pulled out of the trash when I was about 7 and used it as a cannon on my Lincoln Logs fort. Young engineers of America.

I guess it's up to the girls of ns to determine that! I hope it works out well though. Obviously it won't be as busy as sg or nsg but I think it will be worth making.

Barely... there's a reason why the mods have had to get gung-ho about the sexism shit recently.

Most of NS is seriously just Male-gabber, and historically, when a girl posts a thread, no matter how serious, it's "tits or gtfo" comments. Having an all-female only forum that's featured and prominent will be absolutely awesome for the ladies to find an internet refuge away from the drooling male bullshit found in NSG and other forums. A safe haven if you will, where they can talk about their own shit and meet other chicks to shred with.

How often have you been unable to make a thread because you were afraid of what a pink name might say? Probably not often. If I made a thread asking what the best kind of -girl thing/ topic- was, I would either get a lot of shit for it or no one would reply to it and it would get lost in the pages and pages of threads of nsg. Guys will make guy threads in nsg no matter what because ns is made up of 95 percent males who will have an answer/ contribution.

I know my opinion doesn't hold any grounds here, but I like Lady Gabber. It keeps it in line with nsg, and sg. It's a timeless name while keeping it Eloquent and to the point. Powder room is good, however I feel as if there might be some that would suggest that a powder room isn't just for girls. I'm not trying to put a damper on anyone's mood, I'm just playing devils advocate.
